As I write that title, I hope it’s not offensive! It’s a saying I’ve hear my whole life, but I have no idea if its origins. I think I’ll be doing some googling… but it does describe my day well.
I got up and out for a run this morning, but it was excruciatingly painful! Not only to get out of bed, but also the run. Maybe I’m coming down with something or fighting off a cold??? I just never seemed to get into a rhythm and I was much slower than I usually am too. I tried to make my minimum of thirty minutes, but I hit the gate at 27:35:(. Close…
I didn’t expect to get any more exercise in today as I had a meeting after school, but we got out of it a little early so I managed to squeeze in half of my usual walk. I had a great photo op lined up, and wouldn’t you know it, my phone died just as I was about to click:( Close…
I have refrained from doing a workout tonight on purpose in the hopes that perhaps my legs were just tired this morning and that 24 hours of rest will cure me and make tomorrow’s run amazing!
Well, I survived my first assembly. My principal did take over the start of the assembly, which while a little annoying as she left it until the last minute to tell me so I had already prepared what I was going to say, was definitely the right thing to do! I always think the behaviour expectations should come from the principal at the first assembly! I had a couple of glitches as one of the teachers who was supposed to speak was away so I tried to cover his part as best I could, and my “meet the staff” activity went a little long. The students were totally into it though! I had asked each staff member for an interesting fact, had them all line up at the front of the gym and I read the facts out one at a time. We took three guesses as to which staff member it was and then revealed it. It went great, but in future I would only do one guess so it moved a little faster! All in all, not bad for my first attempt:)
The day went pretty smoothly and I had the odd moment to work on cutting my pile of laminating out. I have been working on this pile since the first week, and though you’d never be able to tell, it has actually shrunk by half! I’m starting to feel like I’ll be old and gray before it’s completely gone though:( I shouldn’t complain though as my view helps a lot!
I was hoping to have a finished teapot cozy to show off tonight, but I’m only done the first half and have castes on for the second half. I was slowed down by finger:( Once I put a bandaid on, so I could quit thinking, “ouch that hurts” with every stitch, I did speed up, but I didn’t quite make it. Once again, close but no cigar. Hopefully tomorrow night there will be an awesome picture to share.
Well I’m going to bed indecently early in the hopes of getting up for tomorrow’s run feeling rested!
