It’s been quiet here- reading, watching movies and doing jigsaw puzzles.

Reading:

I finally finished my most recent book, Prejudice Meet Pride. The fact that it has taken me three weeks to read this book probably says more than I ever could. I just found the characters weren’t connected enough, went from hate to love too easily, and damsels in distress drive me crazy!

My Reading Year:

I read 113 books this year which is equal to 31,132 pages. The longest book I read was 679 pages and on average I give books a 4.1 star rating.

I read 8 kids books, 10 fiction books and 88 romance books. Next year I should probably try to even this out a bit 🤣

Exercise:

While this week has been super sedentary for me, I did manage to run further than I ever have before. I ran 1103.6km this year. I had an average par of 7:02/km which has improved from 7:54/km last year. I ran 200 times for a total of 129 hours, 38 minutes and 39 seconds.

Next year my goal is to run 1200km and I’ll keep an eye on these stats so I can have round numbers🤣

Knitting:

I finished my sweater and am considering a cowl today, but we shall see what the day brings.

This year I completed 49 knit items. These included:

8 headbands

8 sweaters

8 baby items

7 cowls

4 bags

3 toques

3 scarves

3 dishcloths

1 each of: toy, pair of socks, pair of mittens, and an Afghan

Mid year I counted the skeins in my stash and discovered I had an embarrassing amount (too embarrassing to admit to here). Using up my stash became a focus for me and I managed to use up 54 skeins this year. This will continue to be a focus next year!

I have joined the Harry Potter Knit and Crochet House Cup on Ravelry again as I find it helps me to decide what to knit next.

The only thing I am unable to report on is my baking. I am thinking I should start a page for that so I can easily keep track of what I bake.

Well I’m off to live:)

Have fun!

AJ

  1. Obviously you are excellent at managing your time:) You should keep track of your baking. I’ll bet people who avoid gluten and dairy would appreciate your recipes and product reviews too:)

  2. You have gotten so much done – but your year was much more than the count of things finished! I have enjoyed reading about your adventures, and look forward to hearing about them this year too 🙂

  3. What a great year, AJ! Many accomplishments. 😃 And don’t be embarrassed by the number of skeins you have. I feel the same way about my accumulation of books. 🤦🏽‍♀️
