I would just really like answers, though I suppose that’s asking for too much right now.

Exercise:

I went for my run this morning even though I didn’t want to go in the rain, but I am so close to being caught up on mileage, that I had to go! It was much slower than normal, but I’m going to blame that on the slippery wooden pier that I added in so I wouldn’t have to run the parking lot at the end🤣

This evening I did a new workout on YouTube that a parent recommended to me. It was fabulous! I have not been that sweaty of a mess in a while. It had a ton of abs at the start, then a ten minute cardio bootcamp component and then yoga, so I got it all in. I think I’m going to feel those ab exercises tomorrow!

Teaching:

Today was a day of being on FreshGrade. I responded to the assignments at the start and end of the day as I am trying to keep up on them so they don’t overwhelm me. I spent the rest of the day creating activities for next week. At one point I had to go change my shirt because I was doing a video for a different day. (I did put on my newest handknit so they could all see it😜). I also had to send a video to a parent today telling her I was still her teacher and to get to work. Mom said she started the day by bursting into tears and saying she didn’t want mom to be her teacher anymore and she wanted to go back to school right now 🤣🤣🤣🤣I feel for some of these parents!

I watched the webinar at noon but I think that will be my last one unless it’s on FreshGrade or something I use. My brain is hurting too much from all of this learning and I’m working longer hours than I do when I go to school!

Knitting:

Tonight I have been working on a cowl for my secretary, but I’ve just had to tink back so it might be time to quit for the night.

Well that’s my spectacularly exciting day (sarcastic voice).

Have fun!

  1. I used to teach some online courses and they were just exhausting! I once took a break for lunch and a walk, and when I got back online there were 114 comments waiting for me! Hugs!

  2. Hi there, this is my first visit on your blog and I enjoyed it. Just want to say hello to. By the way, I am a new blogger and I just recently, I made a challenge to myself. For the next 21 days I will be visiting blog put its blog link on my blog. I hope you can support me this.
    I also followed your blog.

  3. It sounds so exciting… Not being sarcastic. I had to laugh at the thought you changing shirts for video… You should start your own YouTube channel now… 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 You seem to have taken to it…. Having too much fun here 🤣child doesn’t want mom as teacher? Hahaha lovely post. Made me giggle

  4. Teaching courses online is a lot of work – the in-person things you count on for things like checking comprehension work so much differently, and there’s a lot more planning needed in a lot of ways.

  5. I laughed that the girl wanted to go back to school. When I picked myself up off the floor, I read what I’ve been waiting for — a teacher’s statement about on-line teaching during the virus shutdown. I KNEW all of you were working hard, but I didn’t realize you were putting in more hours than you would if you were in school. You may be avoiding contact with infected people, but you are on the front line in this war.

  6. Awww I’m cracking up about changing clothes for different day recordings- oh the ways of quarantine, lol! sounds like you are settling into a new routine. Glad it’s overall going okay- so crazy you are having to work longer hours than when at school though. Hopefully that doesn’t last too long!

  7. Once the parents settle in a little more, your load will lighten a tad. I applaud you for being selective with what you watch for Pro D, you have plenty of your plate so unless it truly applies skip it, and then if you watch don’t be compelled to stay on if it is something you already know or won’t apply. I’m just now feeling like I am hitting my stride, and I actually did online training while at the university. You are doing great!

    1. Yes I’ve finally learned to be selective. My brain just can’t take more right now. I had a bit of a break today and am hoping tomorrow will be the same.
