Well it was a day of travel. I got up, packed and sadly left my parent’s place. Usually I make sure that I stay long enough that they are driving me crazy- makes leaving them so much easier. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case this time.

I got home to the horrible chirping of my smoke alarm. My poor downstairs neighbour has been putting up with this since I left. He came up to help me change the battery, though I will have to go looking for a lithium battery as all I got at the drug store was an alkaline one.

I met up with Sarah for a run around the river. It was hot, humid and busy, but still nice to stretch the legs. I want to put more mileage in this month so am trying to be super consistent.

I read Real Men Knit by Kwana Jackson. I loved it! I started it yesterday and finished it today. This book has a lot of heart, but reads quickly and lightly. The characters are interesting and of course, I love that it centres around a knitting store. I sure hope it’s just the first in a series!

Well that was my whole day other than some grocery shopping. I had better do some knitting now!

Have fun!

  1. Oops, Real Men Knit was on Kindle for 99p, though not available until August … might have clicked! Glad you got home before your neighbour was driven mad by your chirping alarm and that you got it sorted, also that you had a lovely trip to see your parents.
