Stitching:

This year I am determined to make progress on the project that sat on the shelf in my spare room for eleven years. It at least sits on my coffee table now. This is where I was at three weeks ago:

Here is where I am now:

I am frustrated with myself as I am finding that I had made a bunch of mistakes around the basket. I am trying to resolve the issues now so they don’t carry across the entire design.

I had planned to be done to the end of the first page of the pattern all the way down, but unfortunately I only made it about halfway. At least I am pretty sure you can see the progress this time. It was really neat to get to do a different colour with the blues in there.

I am looking forward to being able to get the whole thing to that column so that I start the next page at a “clean” row.

Be sure to check out everyone else’s progress as there are some amazing projects!

  1. It must be so frustrating to make those mistakes, especially as they have ramifications for the rest of the piece. However, it is looking really good to me, and I love the contrast of the vivid blues.

  2. Mistakes can be frustrating, but you will figure them out and make it work. This looks like a beautiful piece. I look forward to watching the entire picture emerge.

  3. It looks like you have the mistake under control. (I seem to always have my count off even after careful checking and rechecking) I have faith in you – you can fix this 🙂 And I do see the progress 🙂

    1. It bugs me because I did t know I had made mistakes until I came down with the next colour:(
I’m glad the progress is visible and hopefully by next time these mistakes will be in the past!

      1. That is an excellent idea! Maybe my first picture every three weeks should be where I started in January, not where I was three weeks ago. I’ve forgotten what it looked like too

      2. I think it’s fun to see the progress every 3 weeks then at the end you do them all to see how much you’ve accomplished in a year!

  4. Oh, it’s a challenge to make a correction like that. Well done for keeping on with the job. I can imagine how much you must be looking forward to starting that new, clean, column! Keep up the good work!
