It was a crazy day!

Teaching:

The kids came in like maniacs this morning. I haven’t had a St. Patrick’s Day at school since my practicum and all I can say is thank goodness!! All they could talk about were leprechauns.

We did finally get through chalkboard spelling and gluing all of our artwork into our scrapbook. We did relay races in gym and completed our math drill. This afternoon I got a reading group done and the kids worked on their community building project. Not a bad day, but I’m glad it’s over!

Exercise:

I did my FitOn workout again today. It was an ab blast. I wonder why I keep getting an workouts?!?!

Knitting:

I worked on my sweater this morning, and was actually ten minutes later than usual leaving for school and then did some more after school. It is looking very large right now:(

Shopping:

It was my monthly Costco trip tonight. I didn’t buy anything too exciting and mostly limited myself to what was on sale. I did get every size of ziploc bags:).

Well that’s it for me!

Have fun!

AJ

  1. I’ve heard many teachers comment on children’s excitement over holidays. I believe you and them. I just don’t remember that excitement affecting me personally. I do remember being eager for the Valentines to be handed out at the end of the day, but did my brain shut down? Was I unruly? How I wish I could remember! If any of my teachers were still alive, I’d apologize to them today.

    1. I just don’t remember a group being so obsessed with St. Patrick’s Day before and I sure don’t remember being that way myself! It was super annoying!🤣

  2. AJ, this is my 4th attempt to leave you a comment! Gheesh. ALL on ME.
Sorry the kids were raucous. I don’t remember one raucous day in Catholic grammar school. Now Catholic High school was a blast. Those nuns were fun and tolerant.

    1. Lol I didn’t feel very tolerant but I don’t think I have been all week either so it wasn’t just because of the holiday
