Trivia Tuesday

It was an okay day, but I’ve been tired all day even after going to bed a half hour early last night.

Teaching:

I now have seven kids who have changed levels in the reading program and I am super happy about that, so happy that we started the day with two prizes for kids who had changed. We then proceeded to work on the long o sound in phonics. One of my little girls finally got tested by the SLP and it’s a bigger problem than expected:(

We started a tiny bit of addition and the kids then had library. I spent my prep walking home for lunch as somehow I went to school with just grapes for lunch. I guess it got me to run my car🤷🏼‍♀️

This afternoon we had silent reading and I took my lowest reading group. The two girls now have all of their sounds and the boy is only missing one- so at least there has been some improvement!

We also worked further on our hibernation work. I love science Asian ways learn things too.

The best part of my day was when my students begged me to read books to them rather than showing a magic school bus video. I love that they love books!❤️❤️❤️

Exercise:

My run was supposed to be later, but Sarah texted to just go ahead without her. Dennis and I ran to the mill and back, but once again it felt tough. I also got my 1:30 plank done. I read during my plank today and that really helped!

Trivia:

I really wanted a nap,but had to pick up milk so did that instead.

Trivia Tuesday #35

Sorry for no post yesterday. The day was normal, but then I went downtown and went for dinner at Nightingale. It was fabulous! I have never had a restaurant do such a thorough and great job about my allergies. The food was amazing! We shared roasted cauliflower, roasted Brussels sprouts, Arctic char and then I had carrot cake for dessert. I would highly recommend this restaurant as it is fancy enough for a Christmas gathering or a special event, but not hoity toity or snooty.

ok today..

Teaching:

We literally spent the entire day working on and finishing our parent gifts, but they did finally go home with the children today!

I also spoke with two more parents about the report cards so at least I’ve spoken with four parents. That should mean I shouldn’t have any more than 18 emails to come back to!

Medical:

I went to meet a new doctor today and was super pleased. Hopefully everything comes through. She has ordered three more iron infusions for me, and another blood test as my platelet levels were low. I hope I get one more infusion before I leave, but I somehow doubt it:(

Knitting:

I am furiously trying to get another market bag done for Thursday, but I’m not sure it’s going to happen:(

Shopping:

I was right by the mall so grabbed two new pairs of jeans, though I wish I had taken someone else with me and that I had tried on more styles. I really shouldn’t be trying to do anything with this foggy brain!

Blogmas:

Thanks Abbey for making me think about things I just take for granted. Lol our tree skirt growing up was an old red piece of fabric that was raw edges and all. I have no idea where it came from, but it survived as our tree skirt for my entire childhood. I dream of cross-stitching a fancy tree skirt, but always decide not to bother as I rarely put up a tree🤣

Trivia Tuesday #34

Well I survived!

Teaching:

We got some printing of the letter s done this morning and completed some more pattern work, but the big event today was the Christmas Concert. The children did very well, though the finale song started before the kindergarten kids were even on the stage!🙄 This was definitely the quickest concert I’ve ever seen as it was only about a half hour long!

The bake sale afterwards was of even more importance to the children!🤣

Exercise:

After school we had a bootcamp workout. We did:

Lateral lunges with upright rows

Plank punches

Overhead tricep extension

Rows

Sit-ups

Superwoman

Bicep curls

Pop jacks

Up downs

Front raises

Banded froggers

And then in between each two we did cardio where you did 2 burpees and then 10 front kicks and 10 knee raises and then worked out way down. We also did jump squats for the song Thunderstruck and every time the word thunder was said, we had to do a push-up.

I wish I’d been able to push myself more as it would have been an amazing workout, but I guess for now I should be happy I did anything.

Knitting;

I sat after school and did some knitting on my current market bag while listening to a podcast. It was a quite lovely interlude:)
